When are tryouts for 2026-2027 teams?
Tryouts for our 2026 travel teams will be held on July 13th and 14th (details to come). Tryouts for local teams and our 12U team (yes, we will have a 12U team this season!) will be later in the summer.
When does your boys’ club volleyball season begin and end?
Travel teams play their seasons in the fall and winter (September to December and January through February). Teams competing in Nationals have a June/July schedule. We also offer Local teams who compete in the same fall and winter seasons above. Their tryouts are in August, details to come.
Boys are welcome to sign up for a fall session, a winter session, or both. Different athletes have different availabilities and we do our best to accommodate everyone.
Where are you located?
The club is based in Grand Haven but we train at locations across West Michigan, from Grand Haven and Holland to Jenison and Allendale. We have players from Spring Lake, Grand Haven, West Ottawa, Fruitport, Holland Christian, Forest Hills, Grand Rapids, Jenison, Hudsonville, Lowell, and more!
When do you practice?
We practice twice per week during our season but don’t have “set” practice nights. Many of our players are multi-sport athletes, so we select practice days and times based on player, gym and coach availability. Most age groups hold one practice on Sundays.
Which tournaments do you participate in?
Each of our teams plays at least two events/tournaments. Events are typically in Indiana, Illinois, or Michigan, but which events depend on the age level. Further details are provided once teams are selected. We also participate in the Michigan Super League (which is a local league based in West Michigan) and have had teams participate in The Point Series for the last three years which is based in Bedford Park, just outside of Chicago, Illinois.
Which age groups do you field teams for?
We offer a variety of age groups based on the number and ability level of boys who come to tryouts. In 2025-2026 we had two 14U teams (one regional, one local), two 16U teams (one regional, one local), and three 18U teams (one national, one regional, and one local).

12 & Under: Born on or after July 1, 2014
13 & Under: Born on or after July 1, 2013
14 & Under: Born on or after July 1, 2012
15 & Under: Born on or after July 1, 2011
16 & Under: Born on or after July 1, 2010
17 & Under: Born on or after July 1, 2009
18 & Under: Born on or after July 1, 2008
How much does it cost to participate?
Fees are different based on each age group and the number of events they participate in. After tryouts, players are offered roster spots and estimated fees are presented based on the number of players participating, gym fees, and tournament fees.
Per Season Fees
Local teams: $500-750
Regional/National teams: $1,250-2,000 (depending on age and tournament schedule)
~ These are estimated fees for a fall or winter session (not both) — winter typically costs less. Final costs will be presented before a commitment from you is required. Nationals is a separate fee for the June/July session and we expect it to be $1,500-1,800 for 2026.
My athlete is interested in playing, but he can’t make it to tryouts. What do we do?
Please contact us! We want to accommodate as many athletes as possible and will develop backup plans as necessary.
